Staff Schedule
David is home sick today.  He is planning on coming into the office tomorrow morning.
Thank you to Carol for leading us in worship.  John is on holidays and will be back on September 3rd.  Thank you to pianist Kathyrn Whitehead for accompanying us today.  Thank you also to Lorna Inkster and the volunteer custodians.
Lois is away Monday – thank you to Barbara Couch for working in the office tomorrow.

Something New
In September, we will be celebrating the end of summer with our friends at Jubilee Manor and Mountain Lake Seniors Community.  Following the regular monthly worship services on Tuesday, September 12th, we will have tea and goodies and conversation.  The Jubilee celebration will be at 10:30 (following a 10 am worship service) and the Mountain Lake celebration will be at 2:30 (following a 2 pm worship service).  It would be wonderful if some of our congregation could join those of us who regularly support these monthly worship services.  If you think you could attend one or both of the gatherings, please put it on your calendar for September 12th and plan to be there.

We Know That You Are Out there
The Pastoral Care Team is looking for people to help support members of our congregation. Do you like to play games? Visit? Could you help drive others to church or church events? Just a little bit of help can make a significant difference in the lives of others. Are you already doing this? We’d like to hear about it. For more information please contact a member of the Pastoral Care Team:  David Boyd, Diane Holt, Dorothy Wayling, Dianne Harke, Irene McIlwaine, Joe Woodward, Judy Cameron, Robin Murray, Wendy Steed, Willa Horsfall.

Caring Casseroles
Do you know someone (or yourself) who would be helped by having a pre-made meal?  There are a variety (vegetarian, gluten free, and meat) of casseroles in the freezer in our kitchen.  Please let Donna Strongman or Diane Holt know and it could be delivered, or take it yourself.

Prayer Shawl Group
Over 165 hand knitted or crocheted prayer shawls have been lovingly created by members of the Prayer Shawl Group.  The shawls have been received by those appreciating a ‘warm hug filled with God’s love’.  Anyone wishing to knit or crochet prayer shawls (beginners welcome!) are invited to join us in the Trinity Lounge the first Monday of each month at 1:30 pm.  For more info. please speak to Anne Corbett
