For the Children
Sunday school resumes each Sunday except for the
Intergenerational Sunday

We have a Nursery Room available upstairs by the balcony,
a Quiet Play Centre at the front right-hand side of the sanctuary
and activity packages are available from the ushers.

Intergenerational Sunday
The first Sunday of each month is Communion Sunday
and is an Intergenerational Sunday,
so the children do not go to Sunday School.
Activity packages are available from the ushers.

We Are An Affirming Ministry
As an Affirming Ministry, we celebrate the diversity of God’s creation.
We celebrate the richness of our community when we
have diversity in age, gender identity,
racial/cultural backgrounds, sexual orientation, ability,
and family configurations.
We seek to create a safe space
with an open invitation to bring every aspect of your whole self into
your participation in this ministry.

Hugs For All…
It is always amazing to count up the number of folks involved in putting on an event such as the Christmas Bazaar.  Thanks to Morgan and Joe, Stan and Peter for helping with the set up; to Donna for leading the sandwich-making; to Lil and Ian for doing such a capable job at the front door; to all the women of the UCW who filled those sales tables to over- flowing; to the Fair Trade Folks and the Amnesty folks for joining us; to all the servers, the sellers, and the cleaner    uppers.  It was a wonderful afternoon.  We realized a profit of $2,594.  Amazing!

Thank You …
To Ron Snyder for rejoining the Chancel Choir, and to new choir member Suzanne Whittingham.
To Donna Strongman for putting together many more lovely buns to feed the multitude last Sunday.
To Robyn Lamb for joining the NUC team.
To Barbara Couch for arranging to get tables and chairs up into the Fairview Room for the Hospice Society’s AGM.

Thanks to Our Wonderful Congregation
You have prayerfully considered your weekly and monthly givings, and many have responded.  This is just a gentle reminder to please get those pledge forms handed in if you haven’t done so already.  On Sunday, November 25th after worship, we will meet over a finger food pot-luck lunch to celebrate and give thanks for this generous support for our Nelson United ministry.  The “Called to be Giving” team hopes that you will all join us in this blessed celebration.

Caring Casseroles
Do you know someone (or yourself) who would be helped by having a pre-made meal? There are a variety (vegetarian, gluten-free, and meat) of casseroles in the freezer in our kitchen. Please let Donna Strongman know and it could be delivered, or take it yourself.
