When you hear the words, ‘God of Boundless Love’, please answer with ‘Hear our Prayers’.
Let us quiet ourselves as we pray…
Gracious God, Maker and Spirit of Life, we exult in and are thankful for this new season, given for us to live in – Spring! – we feel like it has burst upon us as fast as each morning’s sun rays that appear all at once in a flashing blaze from behind the mountains.
And the yellow-green leaf canopy has emerged nearly as fast and newly fills our gaze, giving our eyes, our brains, with their 1 billion cells, more for us to smile at, and again we feel grateful. God of Boundless Love…   “Hear our prayers.

On the Kootenay Presbytery Prayer Roster, we pray for Reverend Greg Powell and the congregation of Castlegar United Church. Give blessings, strength and love to these named.
We pray for all those in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, named in this week’s World Council of Churches Prayer Cycle, and for our brothers and sisters at Nyanyadzi Methodist Church in Zimbabwe.
We pray for peacemakers and peacekeepers, teachers, engineers, health care workers, and all those serving all over the world through many groups, that they may be protected, strengthened and given hope in their ongoing tasks. God of Boundless Love…   “Hear our prayers.”
For those in our midst, perfect Mother/Father God, bring healing and comfort to these we name all those on our Prayer List…    …We now speak the names, silently or out loud, of those we love and are concerned about…     … God of Boundless Love…   “Hear our prayers.”

Dear God beyond all time and space, we wake up to just another day, an hour, or moment—the cooking—the cleaning—the teaching and learning of things—the noticing of what’s happening around us…   sundown—the moon—the darkening clouds and thunder—the stars—the trip to the post office—hearing kind laughter—sending an email—receiving a letter or a smile. During our day, help us to notice and make sense of the ordinariness of everyday life. Isn’t it a loving gift from you to us, and a chance to again be thankful for being alive and in this world?

Benevolent Spirit of God, there must be many more people doing good in this world than those seeking to hurt and harm. May we be continually inspired to follow their examples. God of Boundless Love…   “Hear our prayers.”
