Children and Youth

Programs and events for Youth sponsored by Nelson United Church.

Are you looking for a liberal, thoughtful, justice-minded group of people with whom to worship, learn, and give back to the world?

When many people think of Christianity, the stereotype that is generally put forward is that of a judgemental God, an overemphasis on guilt, the denigration of creation, or an exclusive claim about who is welcome.

Would it surprise you to learn that there is NO monolithic way of being Christian and that many of us come from a liberal Protestant perspective where LOVE is emphasized and all are welcome regardless of sexuality, gender, race, or socio-economic status.

We offer age appropriate learning opportunities for children at 10:00 A.M. every Sunday morning, and a youth group that gets together twice a month.

Nelson United Church is a place for you and your family.
