Good Morning, on this 4th Sunday of Lent we celebrate Hope. God asks us to persevere, to endure and wait for those heartfelt times to return; but also to find hope in supporting others through our common journey, through God’s unconditional love. Today we pray for Mothers everywhere, and we think of their maternal influences into our lives and our life of faith. When you hear the words, God of Hope, please respond with “Hear our Prayers.”
Loving Creator, we join with others as we pray for Our Bienestar partners involved in the Nelson United Church outreach project in Guatemala, our brothers & sisters at Nyanyadzi Methodist Church in Zimbabwe, Peacemakers and Peacekeepers, Health care workers, Teachers, Engineers, and the many who serve throughout the world through many organizations. All affected by COVID-19, whether in body, mind, or spirit. We continue to recognize and pray for LGBTQ2SIA+ people who are persecuted in many countries. God of Hope… Hear our Prayers.
We pray for the future of our environment; protecting and respecting this gift of creation. In our Pacific Mountain Regional Prayer Cycle, we pray for St. Andrew United Churches in North Vancouver, Quesnel, and Williams Lake. And in our World Council of Churches Ecumenical Prayer Cycle, we pray for the peoples of Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. God of Hope… Hear our Prayers.
Today, we especially voice our heartfelt concerns for those we love who are sad or facing bad news, grieving, or are unwell. In Our Prayers we name all those in our Prayer List… …Let us take a moment to name those who are also in need of our prayers this morning by naming them aloud or silently at this time… God of Hope… Hear our Prayers.
Loving God gives us Hope as an essence that goes to the core of our common humanity. Think about what you will hope for today and for the days ahead, and may it give you optimism and peace. God of Hope… Hear our Prayers.
